Dynaco's best power amplifier ever,made to compete with Marantz,McIntosh and Phase Linear at the time.
Designed by Jim Bongiorno who later designed other legendary amplifiers for Marantz,SAE,GAS,SUMO and Ampzilla.
Hand made in the USA to high standards,music is superbly fast sounding,lively and dynamic,with huge effortless amounts of clean uncloured power.Transparency is difficult to achieve in solid state "Super Amps" :the 400 is clean and uncloured while being engaging and very musical.
*High current amplification made to drive difficult speaker loads,with switchable Dynagard protection to protect your valuable speakers.
Rated at 200 watts/ch at 8 ohms,
300 watts/ch at 4 ohms,
600 watts bridged
Just completely professionally restored.
Inside the 400:
*Huge oversized Canadian made Hammond transformer.
*Massive heatsink area and filter capacitors.
*All output devices upgraded with beefy ONSEMI output transistors
*All semiconductors on driver board replaced.
*new Bourns sealed bias and offset adjustment pots.
*new Bourns input volume pots
*new pilot lamp
*All new electrolytic capacitors
*higher wattage carbon comp resistors on power amp boards replaced
*relay dissasembled and cleaned
*new gold rca input jacks installed
*all solder joints reflowed
**Bench tested at 230 watts per channel at 8 ohms!!**
Condition of this one owner unit is excellent for a 43 year old piece of 54 pound equipment.I give it an honest 8.5/10.
