One owner since 1970,by professional musician.Stored in home for years,and seldom used prior to storage.Purchased new here in Ottawa at Bleekers.
A beautiful pair of Tannoy Gold Monitors LSU 15 inch with original factory crossovers and terminals,housed in custom made 1 inch birch ply cabinets made to factory Tannoy specs.
*This is an exceptional condition pair of original 15 in LSU Tannoy,no flaws on cones,always protected from sun,no pets,smoke,kids,abuse and volume.*You will not find a finer pair available for sale anywhere*
Approx weight per speaker cabinet is 150 to 160 pounds each.
Closely matched serial numbers on drivers.
**Crossovers have been completely re-capped using Audiophile High Grade "Solen" capacitors specially chosen for the best possible sound.See last photo.
*Also new gold binding post were professionally installed to replace the stock very difficult to use terminals*
*We have moved the drivers to the front baffle of the cabinet and secured with professional expensive hex bolts,creating twice the imaging and soundfield projection.
Front and rear factory TANNOY black satin painted,very neat and clean appearance.
2 inch thick double layered walls and rear panel that are easily heavier than factory Lancaster/York type cabinets.Taller than an Arden cabinet.Dimensions are 42" tall,25" wide,16 1/4" deep.
No damage or scars on original cones,wonderful condition.
Material cost to build these cabinets easily $500 today.True Tuflex white Tannoy insulation used.Removable cloth covers.
