This Grip is a great addition to your Canon DSLR. The grip has two functions, the first being the ability to use two LP-E5 batteries to double your battery life or you can use the included six AA battery holder to operate the camera with normal AA batteries. This can come in very handy when you're unable to recharge your LP-E5 batteries and need to keep using your camera.

The other function of this grip is ease of use when shooting in portrait orientation. The grip adds extra buttons and a dial (Grip on/off switch, Av, AF Point selection, vertical dial, shutter release for vertical shots as well as a tripod socket) to use with your DSLR.

This Phottix brand grip performs just like the original BG-E5 but we are offering it at a fraction of the price.
