This Grip is a great addition to your D7000. The grip has two functions, the first being the ability to use one or two EN-EL15 batteries to double your battery life while at the same time providing a better handle on your camera. It also gives you the added option of using 6 AA batteries.

The other function of this grip is ease of use when shooting in portrait orientation. The grip adds extra buttons and dials as well as a tripod socket for mounting at the bottom of the grip.
