Pictured in Ron Burris's book on Velocettes racing in the southern Californian desert.

The bike was originally sponsored for racing by the Lou Branch Velo dealership in southern California.

Lovely bike. The only reason I am selling it is on account of illness

The bike is full competition with all the mods for desert racing: oil tank moved to the LH side; superior gas tank mounting so it would fly off in a crash; more robust footpegs; automotive type air cleaner in an aluminum housing to protect the engine from desert sand and dust; higher level exhaust etc etc.

As you can see from the photos it is a truly beautiful machine that has spent most of its time since its racing days in a museum on display.

New tires etc etc.

I don't think you will see a nicer un-restored Velo Scrambler with a real racing history.
