This Grip is a great addition to your Canon 5D and 5D Mark II. The grip has two functions, the first being the ability to use two BP-511A batteries (or LP-E6 for the 5D MKII) to double your battery life or you can use the included six AA battery holder to operate the camera with normal AA batteries. This can come in very handy when you're unable to recharge your batteries and need to keep using your camera.

The other function of this grip is ease of use when shooting in portrait orientation and better handling of your camera. The grip adds extra function buttons, a dial as well as a secondary shutter release button for vertical shots. A tripod socket and hand strap bar are also built into the bottom of the grip. An on/off switch is also located at the side of the grip to turn off the functionality of the buttons on the grip to avoid accidentally pressing them when they are not needed.

This Phottix brand grip performs just like the original BG-E4 but we are offering it at a fraction of the price.
